How SecureSwap Works

Two escrow flows. One platform. Payment is held until delivery is verified — whether you're transferring a domain or managing a freelance project.

Domain Escrow

Create the deal

Seller lists the domain name and sets the price. SecureSwap generates a secure invite link for the buyer.

WHOIS verification

SecureSwap checks the WHOIS database to confirm the seller actually owns the domain before any payment is accepted.

Buyer funds escrow

Buyer pays via Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking). Funds are held by SecureSwap — not the seller.

Transfer monitoring

Seller initiates the domain transfer. SecureSwap polls WHOIS every 30 minutes to detect registrant change.

Funds released

Once the WHOIS registrant changes to the buyer, funds are released to the seller. If transfer fails within 7 days, buyer gets an automatic refund.

Freelance Escrow

Define milestones

Client creates a deal with milestones — each with a title, amount, and optional description. Total must equal the deal amount.

Freelancer accepts

Client shares the secure invite link. Freelancer reviews the terms, milestones, and accepts the deal.

Full amount escrowed

Client funds the full project amount into escrow. Funds are locked — the freelancer knows the money is real.

Submit and review

Freelancer submits deliverables for each milestone. Client reviews and approves or requests changes.

Funds release per milestone

As each milestone is approved, the corresponding funds are released to the freelancer. No waiting until the end.

What If Something Goes Wrong?

Either party can raise a dispute at any point during an active deal. When a dispute is raised:

  1. 1The deal is paused. No funds move until the dispute is resolved.
  2. 2Both parties submit their evidence — messages, screenshots, links.
  3. 3SecureSwap reviews the case and mediates a resolution.
  4. 4Funds are released to the rightful party, or refunded to the buyer.

Every action is logged with timestamps. The full audit trail is available to both parties and to SecureSwap during mediation.
