1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly: your full name, email address, and password during registration. When you add a bank account for payouts, we collect your account holder name, account number, IFSC code, and optionally a UPI ID. We also collect deal-related data (titles, amounts, asset content) that you submit through the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to: operate and maintain your account, facilitate escrow transactions, process payouts to your bank account, send transactional emails (deal updates, OTPs, payout notifications), resolve disputes, and improve the platform. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Security

We take data security seriously. Bank account details are encrypted using AES-256 (Fernet) encryption before storage. Digital assets deposited in the vault are encrypted at rest and only decrypted for the authorized buyer upon deal completion. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All API communication is secured via HTTPS.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

Razorpay - payment processing (subject to Razorpay's privacy policy)
Resend - transactional email delivery
Sentry - error monitoring (no personal data is intentionally sent)

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Deal records and audit logs are retained for 3 years for compliance and dispute resolution purposes. You may request account deletion by contacting us, after which your personal data will be removed within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and data, and withdraw consent for data processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@secureswap.in.

7. Cookies

SecureSwap uses localStorage for authentication tokens and user session data. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies. No cross-site tracking is performed.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
